1. The Purpose

This SDK Packageis for your application development with WebDT handheld POS Terminals
It includes the SDK installer, documents and demo programs. To assist
your development with built-in devices and features of WebDT handheld, 
sample source projects of demo programs are included, too.


2. The Content

2.1 readme.txt

2.2 Demo and Sample 

The folder includes Demo programs and sample code. There are following 
demo programs:

  -- Barcode Scanner
  -- Button Control
  -- Device Control and DTOSK
  -- MSR
  -- RFID
  -- Suspend and Resume
  -- TestRotation
  -- TestVibration

Every demo program folder has following subfolders:
  \bin --- binary demo programs and SDK libraries used.
  \Sample --- sample projects to build demo programs. 


2.3 DOC

There are two subfolders containing DT SDK User's Guide and control 
protocol documents from parts suppliers respectively.

2.3.1 User's Guide

This folder includes DT SDK User's Guide and Basic Operation Guides 
with specifications.


2.3.2 Control Protocols

This folder includes documents from parts suppliers that describe 
control protocols for barcode scanner and MSR . We supply sample 
codes to show how to communicate with the built-in parts. Application 
devoplers may exploit those protocols to get more control.

2.4 SDK Installer

SMDK2450.msi is the SDK installer. After running the installer to setup 
your development environment, such as Visual Studio 2005 with Windows 
Embedded CE 6.0, the platform SMDK2450(ARMV4I) will appear in the build 
configuraions with which you can build applications for WebDT handheld.


2.5 Tools

Following are tools and drivers to be used with WebDT handheld:

2.5.1 ActiveSync USB Driver 
  wceusbsh.sys -- USB driver to be installed on your PC (Windows 2000,
	Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7) in order to communicate
	with WebDT handheld through ActiveSync
  wceusbsh.inf -- information file of the USB driver

2.5.2 ActiveSync4.5 

For your convenience, the folder includes Microsoft ActiveSync version 
4.5 installer (for the latest ActiveSync information, please visit 
Microsoft website):

  setup.msi -- ActiveSync 4.5 installer
  readme.doc -- Installation guide for ActiveSync
  eula.rtf -- License terms for ActiveSync

2.5.3 System Recovery

When WebDT handheld software is corrupted or can not be reset or 
updated to a normal work status, you can use the tool we provide to 
recover software (see user manual for more about system recovery):

  OS Recovery_EN.exe -- an executable running on your PC for WebDT 
	handheld software recovery
  secusb2.sys -- USB driver to be installed on your PC for WebDT 
	handheld software recovery
  secusb2.inf -- information file of the USB driver
